Your Money or Your Life Links and Resources

On November 13, 1999 Resilient Communities took an in depth look at how each of us can simplify our lives through the lens of the Your Money or Your Life approach developed by Vicki Robin and the New Road Map Foundation.

Here are a number of resources to help you explore this approach.

ORDER THE VIDEO!  http://www.resilientcommunities.org/ymoyl/ymoylorderform.htm  This video offers a clear overview of the 9-step program in "Your Money or Your Life" and presents the powerful tools that have helped 3/4 million people change the way they think about, spend and save money. It also explores the larger picture of this work - the state of the earth and humanity itself at this important time in history - and offers inspiring visions for how lifestyle change fits with the new ethical and ecological framework for the future.
Here’s what viewers had to say…

"Vicki’s presentation was excellent!"  -- Eve Watson, Diversity Coordinator for Grand Canyon National Park, AZ

"I want to compliment you on how well the video was produced and the high quality of the information."  -- LaDeane Jha, a community educator in Lincoln, NE

"It was great! We came up with some post event ideas such as getting people into ymoyl or simplicity circles."  -- Stan King, simplicity activist in Palo Alto, CA

We offer you advice on a number of resources for exploring this topic.  Please review http://www.resilientcommunities.org/ymoyl/ymoyl.htm

Quotes?  Did someone say something about quotes?  Here's a few we have put together:  http://www.resilientcommunities.org/ymoyl/shortymoylquotes.htm

There's a great article by Vicki Robin on Engaged Living on our home page, in the lower left hand corner.

And, last but not least, we're doing something we have never done before.  We have
decided to video-stream this program on the Internet, in parallel to the satellite conference and invite you to join us.

You can reach it through the process outlined below. Should you choose to do this, we would appreciate it if you would send us a contribution for the program. Heck, we'd appreciate it if you would send us a contribution even if you don't view the videostream! The normal fee for the program is $10.00 US. Please send contributions in any amount to Resilient Communities, NRF, East 525 Mission Avenue, Spokane, WA 99202. Contributions are tax deductible in the United States.

Here's how to catch the video stream:

We've set up a HOTLINK for the videostream on our satellite calendar  information page at : http://www.caheinfo.wsu.edu/video/satellite.html

If you go to this page, you note that it's the satellite calendar page for the WSU CAHE (College of Ag and Home Economics) Information Department. The first listing under the heading of "Upcoming Satellite Broadcasts" is "Your Money or Your Life."

After the program description, there's a line for clicking to access registration information and then the registration form. Then we've placed the hotlink for the videostream of the November 13 satellite broadcast. This link will not be "hot" until the day the program actually airs.

The program starts at 10:30 (Pacific Time) but we'll have a test pattern up around 10:00, and the videostream of the program will begin half way into the test pattern at approximately 10:15.

To receive this program, you must have REAL PLAYER loaded on your computer in order to view this videostream. If you do not have the current version of REAL PLAYER, go to the Real Player website and download this software. The URL is: http://www.real.com/products/player/index.html
